As 2011 gets nearer to its closing, everything feels louder, more festive. The speakers are getting louder and their numbers are increasing.

Normally, at this hour of day, kids wouldn’t be allowed to run around anymore, but today it’s different – they’re still running around playing. It’s rather cute.

The adults are still busy – more busy than they’d usually be, actually.

As for me, I’m just watching and waiting.

It’s the last day of 2011.

It’s quite noisy already. The merry-making is starting.

As for me, I’ve just finished with my share of the dinner preparation: dessert. It’s gonna be awesome.

Tonight, I’m hoping for fireworks.

Someone just gotta have prepared some, right?

@Firefox just gave me a

Pressing F7 turns Caret Browsing on or off. This feature place a moveable cursor in web pages, allowing you to select text with the keyboard. Do you want to turn Caret Browsing on?

Caret Browsing, huh?

For someone like me, that’s quite a nifty feature. It was just an accidental discovery. I wasn’t looking for it.

Although, this makes me wonder… How long has this feature been on? It’s pretty useful for someone like me who prefers to make most use of the keyboard and key the mouse resting as much as possible.

Wow, I can’t believe it took that long. I so didn’t notice the time that, apparently, it is already 7:30 pm. I’m not yet hungry but I’m thinking I should have dinner already.

Oh, wait, I need to make dinner first.

Finally, a proper space for me!

But, wow!, it took a lot of sweat. And just about all day. But it was worth it. Well worth it.

I’m kinda glad I can no longer use “lack of space” as a lame excuse to myself for my own lack of productivity.

“I also think that we’ll be seeing a really drastic swing away from formal degrees as the focus of tertiary education. The idea of curating a lifelong learning experience that has timely bursts of learning is going to become more of a priority for individuals who don’t know what their future will be like.”

Ubuntu Kills Java

Oracle’s Sun Java JDK packages are to be removed from the Ubuntu partner repositories and disabled on users systems after Larry Ellison ruled [that retiring] the “Operating System Distributor License for Java means Canonical no longer have permission to use it”.

Why is it that that doesn’t sound so good to me and makes me want to kill Java, too.

I never thought I would, did it
Never thought I could
I did it like that, did it like this
Did it like everybody knows
That we got something real, shorty
I know what I feel
Shout it like that
Shout it like this
Listen up, everybody knows
But you, so here it goes

Cause I never really noticed
Took a while for me to see
Playing back the moments
Now I’m starting to believe
That you could be at the show and know everyone
But it’s you who makes me sing
And I know where we are and I know who I am
Baby, I’m your biggest fan, oh

Every time you smile for me
Takes me a while to bring myself back
Cause your all that
And I just had to let you know
That I’m screaming out in the crowd for you
I can be too loud cause I don’t care
I let ’em all stare
I just want everyone to know
The truth, it’s only you

I never really noticed
Took a while for me see (a while for me to see)
Playing back the moments
Now I’m starting to believe (starting to believe)
That you could be at the show and know everyone
But it’s you who makes me sing
And I know where we are and I know who I am
Baby, I’m your biggest fan

You showed up and you looked so classy
Made me think twice ’bout the way I was acting
You were real from the start of it all
Like a dream came to life, now I’m left in all
Stars shine but your light is the brightest
Love flies but your love is the highest
You’re so sweet that it drives me crazy
A summer like no other, you’re my L.A. baby

I never really noticed
Took a while for me to see
Playing back the moments
Now I’m starting to believe
That you could be at the show and know everyone
But it’s you who makes me sing
And I know where we are and I know who I am
Baby, I’m your biggest fan, oh
Baby, I’m your biggest fan, oh

That you could be at the show and know everyone
But it’s you who makes me sing
And I know where we are and I know who I am
Baby, I’m your biggest fan

Your Biggest Fan by the Jonas Brothers from the soundtrack album, JONAS L.A.

All those days watching from the windows
All those years outside looking in
All that time never even knowing
Just how blind I’ve been
Now I’m here, blinking in the starlight
Now I’m here, suddenly I see
Standing here, it’s all so clear
I’m where I am meant to be

And at last I see the light
And it’s like the fog has lifted
And at last I see the light
And it’s like the sky is new
And it’s warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once everything looks different
Now that I see you
All those days chasing down a daydream
All those years living in a blur
All that time never truly seeing
Things, the way they were
Now she’s here shining in the starlight
Now she’s here, suddenly I know
If she’s here it’s crystal clear
I’m where I’m meant to go

And at last I see the light

And it’s like the fog has lifted

And at last I see the light

And it’s like the sky is new

And it’s warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once, everything is different
Now that I see you
Now that I see you

It feels so good to be writing code again. I should do this more often.

Yeah, I don’t remember the last time I actually tried to write anything. Trying to do too many things at once is never any good. I should always remember that.

I am stumped. It was like… I was burning rubber then I suddenly hit a wall that I can’t break through.

I was enjoying the image editing-thing that I was doing and all of a sudden, Bang!, the computer notifies me that I’ve barely any disk space available. Not good. No wonder the computer occasionally almost freezes since I’ve started.

It made me realize that if I want to be able to continue doing this, I’d have to have a bigger computer. Not just literally bigger but more powerful, faster, and with a higher capacity.

I don’t think I can continue right now. The computer won’t be able to process much more… How am I to finish this?

And just when I thought there is something that I can actually finish…

Goals? In WordPress?

What’s the point? Well, I guess it’s to make the place more engaging. Honestly though, it is quite engaging enough as it is. Why must there be any more? Ah, well, I think I’d have to read WordPress news to understand the new things here.

Wow. Well, this is highly unprecedented. I mean, it’s that time of year when we experience cold days and cold nights but ever since the strong rains stopped pouring day and night a few days already, the temperature’s like… Well, right now, I feel like some air conditioner in here has been turned in the very wrong direction.

The rains still pour, of course. But not day and night. Makes me feel like the weather’s taking a break, heating up the world so that more water will evaporate, and the next time it falls, it will fall really hard.

I can still smell the fire that someone in the neighborhood started and still reeks strongly of burning rubber. That stench is getting to my head. Is it really still allowed to burn such things?!
